Letter From SASAPD

Hi All

I can only echo the sentiments conveyed by Iris, Ernesta, the executive committee of SASAPD, SATTB,  the regions that attended and the players that were there. There was definitely an overwhelming agreement that the tournament was a great success. From  the   conversations that I have had with some of the young very enthusiastic athletes, they have their minds set on taking many more medals next year. Their appreciation for everything that was done for them before and during these Champs is indeed humbling and makes one want to go the extra mile to see these athletes grow and develop in this sport.

Filipe and Vivian, you have been a great source of assistance together  with the entire team of umpires. Your fine attention to detail and flawless recording and processing of the results was excellent. Thank you also for arranging the venue at such short notice.

Finn and Magdaleen, thank you for the technical assistance you have offered. Your willing contributions to table tennis is always greatly valued.

To all the regions that attended, you were great. Without you, there would have been  no Champs. Your dedication to  and talent in this  sport is what will produce our future Olympic athletes.
  
To our excellent and highly efficient team of classifiers thank you for assisting with classification and for the  valuable suggestions you have made for the future.

Clive, the athletes really appreciated the ‘goodie bags’ that they received. Thank you for the kind  sponsorship. To Iris and SASAPD for providing the meals, thank you.  There were many others that offered assistance, thank you.

To Ganief, Hajeera and the entire SATTB  exec thank you for being ever so willing and accommodating in making the entire inclusion process so smooth sailing. Your eagerness and sincere commitment to this process augers well for the future of athletes with disabilities.
